The DK6-31 model bears all the design and functional aspects of the DK6 model in a version suited to situations where there are fewer DSS keys required. The retention of the large character two line LCD display on this model preserves the ability for the user to view relevant status and system messages such as Caller ID etc. The DSS keys are lit by bi-colour LEDs; handsfree operation and a headset port are available; message lamp and adjustability of volumes and ringtone are integrated; in fact all the normal features of the DK6 series are embodied in this model. As with other TransTel digital series single pair wiring only is required.

Incorporating a removable stand the phone can be mounted in two positions on the desk – approx 60 or 45 degrees slope – or wall mounted without the need for any special kit. It has DSS keys with bi-colour LED – 22 of them – as expected for TransTel keyphone – giving access to the full range of functions inherent in TransTel systems according to their programming. The 21 model has a 4 line LCD display, in an attractive and easy to read reverse backlit blue colour, providing more than adequate call information. Along with the normal controls for volumes etc, the phone has Full Duplex Handsfree mode, and provides two options (ports) for headset connection. These are one for a standard wired headset, and one for Electronic Hookswitch (EHS) – in the industry standard DHSG format for seamless integration with compatible wireless headsets without the need for a lifter fitted to the phone. As with other TransTel DK phones the DK8 is connected to the main equipment via single pair wiring so deployment over existing wiring is painless.

The DK9-15 model presents all the core design and functional aspects of the DK9 series for use in the larger number of situations where fewer DSS keys are required and the information provided by a two line display is ample for the user. The LCD display is backlit with mid character sizing for good visibility and with two lines of 32 characters each provides the relevent information needed for a phone : caller ID, dialed number, call status, system messages, voicemail/message waiting, clock, and more. The 15 DSS keys are lit with bi-colour LEDs and system programmable for usage as DSS / BLF or system feature keys. The dial pad is easy to use as are the complement of dedicated function keys, making the DK9-15 a convenient and economical keyphone. As with other Hybrex digital series phones single pair only wiring is required.

The DK9-DSS console is the companion for a DK9 series handset in a reception/switch situation. Also useable in other situations if required. This console is colour and form matched to the DK9 series handsets, and features 30 programmable DSS keys with bi-colour LEDs, allowing at a glance knowledge and control of an office telephone network. Keys are individually programmable, via system DSS keyplan, for station BLF / DSS or system function . Memory keys allow on-the-fly use of second set of key mappings from the assigned keyplan. The number of consoles with differing key-maps deployable is regulated by keyplans available, which is relative to the system in use: 1 keyplan on G1E plus, 8 keyplans on GDS160, 20 keyplans on GDS320, and so on upwards. The absolute number of consoles that can be deployed is only limited by system port availability. In addition to these keyplan notes, system compatibility of this console is as per notes in the DK9-15 section above. Console units can be free standing but are designed to be integrated with a DK9 handset using a sturdy bracket mount. Additional console units can be attached in the same fashion if required. Wiring requirements are a single pair to the system and a digital system port per console deployed. When partnered with a DK9 phone the first console connection can be made via the phone thereby minimising the number of cables required.
